PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

A Transformative Approach to Professional Development

Many clinicians discover that this work doesn’t just support their practice—it subtly transforms it. You may begin to listen differently, sense more nuanced relational dynamics, and respond with greater depth and imagination to what emerges in the room.

Whether you are newly licensed or a seasoned practitioner, all our offerings provide a space where you are not only a professional, but also a fellow traveller—engaging the sacred depths of the healing process alongside others.

Through sustained reflective practice, you can cultivate clarity, emotional resilience, and renewed vitality—bringing greater presence to both your clinical work and your life beyond the therapy room.

Deepen Your Practice. Reclaim Your Aliveness.

Feeling disconnected or depleted in your therapeutic work? You’re not alone. In today’s demanding, fast-paced clinical environment, therapists often sacrifice their own well-being or neglect their own inner landscape in service to others—leading to burnout, reduced effectiveness, and loss of passion in practice.

At Creative Depth, we provide a restorative and regenerative space for clinicians who want to deepen their practice while being supported in their own reflective process. We champion a transformative approach: nurturing your inner world isn’t a luxury, but the bedrock of ethical, sustainable, rewarding clinical work.

Creative Depth was born from a desire to support clinicians—not only as professionals, but as whole people engaged in a deeply meaningful process.

Depth Psychology

Nurture a space for the emergence of unknown psychological material.

Depth work invites mental health practitioners into a slower, more attentive way of listening—one that honors what lies beneath symptom, story, and defensive strategy. This approach recognizes the psyche as multi-faceted, highly nuanced, alive, and shaped by unconscious processes.  Rather than privileging quick fixes or technique alone, depth psychology cultivates presence, curiosity, and reverence for the complexity of human experience.

Drawing from Jungian, psychoanalytic, imaginal, and somatic traditions, it emphasizes dreams, images, myth, affect, and embodied experience as essential pathways to healing. For clinicians, this orientation expands the therapeutic lens—supporting work with grief, trauma, creativity, transitions, and existential questions that often resist linear or manualized approaches. It asks the clinician to meet the work not only with knowledge, but also with the depth of self.

Depth Psychology

Engage and restore the therapeutic encounter as a relational and symbolic field where archetypal patterns, relational dynamics, and the intelligence of the body reveal new insights and greater understanding over time.

Dream Work

Builds a bridge between the unconscious realm and conscious awareness.

When you incorporate the art and practice of dream work in the therapeutic setting it facilitates greater self-awareness and provides you with important insight into the inner workings of the individual psyche. This inner world provides important psychological understanding into the many facets of the personality and uncovers relational dynamics, the nature of complexes, and all sorts of unconscious material that may be limiting psychological development.

This area of focus will explore the nature of dreams from the Jungian perspective and the many depth psychological principles that support dream inquiry. Professional development will consist of engaging major concepts such as the Jungian map of the psyche, archetypal patterns, shadow material, the persona, and other related ideas coupled with practice dream vignettes.

During this process you will enter into the fascinating world of dreams and come to understand how dreams contribute towards meaningful change.

Dream Work

Whether you’re new to dream work or looking to deepen your current practice, you will learn practical techniques, and uncover profound insights to expand your clinical repertoire.

Embodied Practices

An integrative approach that incorporates the innate intelligence of the lived-body.

It is of vital importance to incorporate embodied expressions in the clinical setting because so many life experiences are difficult to fully articulate or even verbalize. Embodied practices engage a deep line of inquiry that can be especially lucrative when talk therapy alone has reached an impasse. At the heart of this professional offering is a commitment to honoring the interconnection between psyche and soma.

This offering invites not only intellectual exploration but also somatic engagement. Drawing from the rich lineage of Carl Jung, Marion Woodman, Stephen Porges, and other pioneers in somatic depth-oriented psychology, we will explore clinical material in ways that reach beyond conventional dialogue. Whether seeking mentorship, private consultation or individual sessions you can expect a blend of reflective discussion, somatic awareness practices and symbolic inquiry.

Embodied Practices

Whether you are new to body-based methods or looking to enrich your current practice you will leave with greater confidence, clarity, and an expanded therapeutic toolkit.

Transpersonal Psychology

Expanding the therapeutic lens beyond symptom reduction and into realms beyond the limitations of regular daily encounters.

Rooted in depth psychology this approach recognizes that transformation often arises through encounters with the symbolic, the imaginal, and the ineffable. For mental health practitioners, transpersonal psychology offers a framework that honors both clinical rigor and the mystery inherent in psychological life. This orientation places a unique focus on contemplative traditions and states of consciousness that shape human experience.

This approach emphasizes experiential learning, reflective practice, and ethical integration—supporting practitioners in discerning how to meet transpersonal material with a grounded skillset and greater attunement when it emerges in the clinical space. By attending to mythic themes, spiritual crises, peak experiences, and moments of profound meaning, therapists are better equipped to support clients whose struggles do not fit neatly into diagnostic frameworks or regular day experiences.

Transpersonal Psychology

This offering invites clinicians to explore altered states of consciousness, imagination, intuition, and relational presence as integral to therapeutic work.

Imaginative Acts

Nurture a space for the emergence of unknown psychological material.

In a psychological field where efficiency and evidence-based outcomes often dominate much of clinical practice it is perhaps even more vital to make room for spontaneity, play, and the emergence of the unknown. Imaginative acts are gateways into the unconscious and enter into a terrain where deeper insights can emerge facilitating a natural unfolding of lasting change.

Imaginative acts are not devoid of clinical rigor. Since imaginative acts afford an expression of the unknown in conjunction with a sense of safety and security, they are actually proven methods to enhance vagal tone, positive mental health outcomes, and for supporting overall health and greater well-being.

Through guided exercises, reflective dialogue, and shared inquiry, you will learn how to formulate a deep respect for the transformative power of imagination in clinical work.

Imaginative Acts

These practices serve to revitalize clinical work, expand therapeutic flexibility, and open portals that more deeply attune to the symbolic language of the psyche that nurtures psychological growth and the path to wholeness.

Existential Counseling

Centers on the human search for meaning, value, and purpose in the face of life's inherent uncertainty.

Anxiety, fear, apathy, depression, loneliness, grief, anger, illness, and a sense of meaninglessness are not signs of failure—they are expressions of human suffering and invitations to deeper inquiry. An existential focus offers a framework that normalizes difficult experiences while engaging them as portals for growth. Rather than pathologizing distress, this approach helps clinicians support clients in discovering personal meaning and authentic ways of being in the world.

Professional development invites practitioners to examine their own relationship to freedom, responsibility, isolation, mortality, and meaning—core existential themes that inevitably arise in therapeutic work. By engaging these questions personally, clinicians expand their capacity to remain present with clients navigating profound life transitions, unresolved grief, chronic conflict, or existential despair. This depth of self-awareness strengthens the therapeutic alliance and enhances ethical, attuned practice.

Existential counseling also honors the cyclical nature of life—the seasons of joy and sorrow, growth and loss, vitality and limitation. Moving through these passages with grace, dignity, and respect is not about avoiding suffering, but about meeting it with courage and thoughtful exploration.

Existential Counseling

Grounded in meaning this approach helps clinicians sustain their own sense of purpose, connection and vitality in the work while supporting clients through existential crises and while engaging the fundamental questions of human life.
